For the glory of God and the solace of a whole community

St Mary's was built in faith almost 700 years ago. Despite war and destruction this building and that faith have been maintained by succeeding generations. The Lamp of Lothian continues to shine brightly, welcoming pilgrims on life's journey.

New Minister

We are delighted to announce that our congregation has elected Rev Alison McDonald to be our new minister. Alison's induction is likely to be on Thursday 1st August in the evening and will be confirmed soon.

Director of Choristers

We are looking for a new Director of Choristers. St Mary’s Parish to work with children and young people, continuing our inspiring musical tradition.
The choristers are part of the ministry of music at St Mary’s, which plays a long-established and central part in the life of the congregation. It is also an important dimension of the congregation’s outreach to the community of Haddington and East Lothian, offering opportunities for children and young people to participate in high quality music-making in the spectacular setting of one of Scotland’s largest medieval parish churches. Further details can be found here.
