St Mary's is open to visitors at Easter weekend and on Sundays to Fridays from 1.30pm to 4pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm from 1st May until 30th September.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers who ensure that our visitors receive a warm welcome. Some of our Welcomers come from other churches in Haddington and the surrounding towns & villages whilst others have no church connection at all. They work two and a half hour shifts in teams of two - one to welcome and one in the shop.
New recruits are always welcome. You do not need to know a lot of history about the church - rather we prefer people who are warm, welcoming and can respond to people as individuals. To offer your services please click here to get in touch via email.
The market town of Haddington is 20 miles east of Edinburgh along the A1 dual carriageway.
Travelling east take the second exit to Haddington - St Mary's is signposted from the main road. Look to the south and you will see the old church tower in the distance.
Access for the disabled
Wheelchair access is via the North door, inside which you will also find toilet facilities. The doorbell here is to allow the disabled to alert those inside, so help can be given with access.
Groups are very welcome all year round but please let us know you are coming so we can be organised for your visit. We can provide free guided tours of the church. Click here to get in touch via email.
