Visiting St Mary's Church
We are delighted to welcome visitors to our building during the Spring and Summer. The church is open from 1.30pm to 4pm most Sundays to Saturdays from 1st May to 30th September and at Easter.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers who ensure that our visitors receive a warm welcome. Some of our Welcomers come from other churches in Haddington and the surrounding towns & villages whilst others have no church connection at all. New recruits are always welcome. You do not need to know a lot of history about the church - rather we prefer people who are warm, welcoming and can respond to people as individuals. The market town of Haddington is 20 miles east of Edinburgh along the A1 dual carriageway. Travelling east take the second exit to Haddington - St Mary's is signposted from the main road. Look to the south and you will see the old church tower in the distance. |
Access for the disabled
Wheelchair access is via the North door, inside which you will also find toilet facilities. The doorbell here is to allow the disabled to alert those inside, so help can be given with access. There are three parking spaces by the North door for Blue Badge holders.
