ST MARY'S AT 4. This year's series of free afternoon concerts has come to a close . If you or your group would like to play in 2027 or 2028 please e-mail our organiser at events@stmaryskirk.co.uk
YOUTH GROUP Our new group for young people in P7 to S3 from 6pm to 7.30pm is on the second Thursday of every month. There's table tennis, table football, badminton and other games & crafts. Juice and snacks are provided.
SPONSORED WALK FOR CHRISTIAN AID. Keen walkers from the congregations of Haddington Parish and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church get together on Saturday 12 September for a six mile walk around the town to raise money for Christian Aid's Harvest of Hope campaign. Gather from 9.00 to 9.20an at the North Door of St Mary's.
THIRD WEDNESDAY A time of quiet reflection in the church from 7pm to 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of the month. Some words, some music and some silence. All welcome to our sanctuary. Our next date is 23 September 2026.
DOORS OPEN WEEKEND: The church will be open on Saturday 26 September from 11am to 4pm and on Sunday 27 September from 1.30pm to 4pm. There will be dispays, historical talks, activities for children, the chance to play the Bosendorfer piano or climb the 60 steps to the bell tower. Teas, coffees and home baking will be available. Entry is free but any donations towrds our kitchen project would be very welcome if you are able.
A CUPPA, A CAKE & A CHAT : Join us for Afternoon Tea on the third Thursday of the month at 2.30pm in the church. A chance to meet new people. The teas are free but donations always welcome if you are able. Donations will go towards our Kitchen Project. Our next date is 15 October 2026.
HADDINGTON CONCERT SOCIETY. We are delighted that the Concert Society's Bösendorfer Concert Grand Piano has found a new home here in St Mary's Kirk. The piano will be available for community use with prior permission of the concert society and is used by the society for their annual concert series - Music Close Up - which takes place over the winter months on a Sunday afternoon in the church.
MOTHER,MAIDEN,MAGE : A play about the legend of Thaney, the mother of St Mungo, a princess from Traprain Law, the daughter of King Lot takes place on Saturday 3 October at 7pm in St Mary's Kirk. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and the event is sponsored by Haddington's History Society. Don't miss this special performance!
RSCM Scottish Voices: We welcome the RSCM Scottish Voices back to St Mary's Kirk on Saturday 31 October for a sung church service at 4pm. All welcome.
