Stained Glass Windows
The Nave and South Transept of St Mary's have many fine Stained Glass Windows. Their subjects are:
The Sepulchre
Vision of St John the Devine
Christ and the Woman of Samaria
The Good Woman
The Crucifixion with the Virgin and St John
St Margaret and St Helen
Divine Wisdom
The Herald Angel appears to the Shepherds
Christ as the Good Shepherd
Christ and the Woman of Samaria
The Ascension
Christ and the Sea of Galilee
Gethsemane and Emmaus
When the church was restored in the 1970s, the Kirk Session decided that the choir area (east end) would have its windows in clear glass.
Two (large) PowerPoint or .pdf files can be linked into upon request, detailing St Mary's stained glass windows. One by Ballantine and the other by several artists including Wilson. Our thanks go to Ian S Lees for his work in photographing and presenting them. Requests to: webmaster@stmaryskirk.co.uk
